Clive Christian L Perfume by Clive Christian, Clive Christian L for women is a fragrance from 2014 with hints of spice, woodiness and fresh herbs. Artemisia works with a blend of white, pink and black pepper in the opening of this perfume. In the heart is a floral duo of jasmine and rose. The base notes include vetiver, cedar, patchouli and vanilla.
The origins of this fragrance brand are royal and historic. Clive Christian is an English businessman and furniture maker who purchased the Crown Perfumery in 1999. This perfumery was originally established in 1872 in London by William Sparks Thomson. Thomson designed corsets for many clients including Queen Victoria herself, and his son created lavender-based smelling salts to help these clients recover from fainting. These smelling salts served as the inspiration behind Crown Perfumery’s future collection.
Christian is known for his unique furniture designs. In 2012, he was the recipient of an Order of the British Empire medal for his contribution to the British luxury goods industry.
